XAware Partners with Active Endpoints and Appcelerator
XAware Ecosystem offers integrated open source SOA solutions
SANTA CLARA, Calif. (MySQL Conference & Expo 2008) —April 14, 2008— XAware, Inc. today announced that Active Endpoints and Appcelerator have joined the XAware Ecosystem. Together, these three technology leaders offer customers a unique combination of open, standards-based systems that provide broad, enterprise-class solutions. XAware, Active Endpoints and Appcelerator will provide demonstrations of their integrated solutions in booth 301 at the MySQL Conference & Expo this week in Santa Clara.
The XAware Ecosystem gives users combined solutions that are capable of addressing a variety of business problems. For partners, the XAware Ecosystem enables the development of compelling joint solutions and access to a large, new community of users. Components in the XAware Ecosystem remain plug-and-play, so that customers are always able to use the technologies that best fit their specific needs.
Well-known for its contributions to the Business Process Execution Language (BPEL), Active Endpoints recently launched a pioneering visual orchestration system (VOS) that revolutionizes the creation and deployment of standards-based composite applications. ActiveVOS TM enables project teams to design, develop, manage and deploy services-based applications in a single, comprehensive system.
“ActiveVOS is changing the way businesses develop and integrate applications in SOA environments,” said Eric Egertson, vice president, sales, Active Endpoints. “At the same time, XAware is also breaking ground in the areas of composite data. Working together, we can offer integrated solutions that help customers respond rapidly to changing market conditions.”
Appcelerator is the leader in open source rich Internet application (RIA) development. The company offers both a fully integrated platform SDK and an IDE built on Eclipse. Both products enable rapid development of rich Internet applications that can run anywhere, with more functionality and less code than traditional approaches.
“Companies today are looking for the best solutions that can easily be combined to help them achieve business objectives,” said Jeff Haynie, founder and CEO of Appcelerator. “We’re continuously looking for ways to extend our platform through partnerships with companies like XAware. Appcelerator and XAware together will offer users an exciting way to accelerate the development of RIA and SOA services.”
“It’s encouraging to see innovative organizations working together to expand the open source SOA ecosystem,” said Marten Mickos, senior vice president, Database Group, Sun Microsystems. “Companies such as XAware, Appcelerator and Active Endpoints provide open source solutions that address a range of business issues, and we urge conference attendees to check out their offerings.”
XAware is the industry’s first open source data integration solution for creating and managing composite data services. XAware’s data services layer provides consistent, real-time access to all data, regardless of the source. These composite data services can be reused throughout an organization and are especially valuable in SOA and Web 2.0 applications. XAware’s composite data services improve the productivity of ESBs, BPEL engines, application server stacks and embedded applications.
“XAware has created this SOA ecosystem to enhance the power and value of our rapidly growing open source community,” said Bill Miller, CTO of XAware. “Developers have greater confidence knowing the solutions they depend on will work well together. And, of course, the very nature of active open source community ensures that users can be an active participant in the growth of the ecosystem’s products.”
